CECON.com Science, Engineering & Technical Experts, founded in 1985, by a half dozen senior leaders who were among the first DuPont scientists and engineers ever to take voluntary early-outs, became one of the world’s first-ever Subject Matter Expert (SME) companies. Both men are “baseball guys,” Wilson having played the sport at prep and college levels, Waltz having started his career as a sportswriter before becoming a political journalist, before DuPont. In fact, Waltz offers a club presentation, “Catcher, Scholar, Spy: The Incredible Story of Moe Berg, 1902-1972,” Baseball’s first major Jewish baseball player, who after baseball went on to be a spy in WWII for the OSS, the predecessor of the CIA.
